Sunday, October 22, 2009 The new film AMEXICA, directed and written by Ron Krauss, will premier on October 25, 2009 at the Hollywood Film Festival. The music was composed and produced by Assaf Rinde, and stars AnnaLynne McCord. This film was created purely through donations made to help raise awareness in an effort to end human trafficking. In this film, a young boy from Mexico is sold through a human trafficking ring to two con artists in Los Angeles, California. They portray the young boy as their son in an effort to extort money from random innocent people by staging automotive accidents. "Trapped, alone with his captors, and unable to speak for himself, the boy decides to take his fate into his own hands, forever changing the lives of the people around him" Monday, October 19, 2009 The new book "Keeping Score: Interviews with Today's Top Film, Television, and Game Music Composers," written by Tom Hoover was released today, and is for sale on Amazon.com. Tuesday, January 13, 2009 Assaf has just finished working on the new web series "The Rose Chronicles" directed and produced by Dorian Richard. Assaf has composed and produced the music on this show as well as mixing the Audio Dialog, Sound Effects and Sound Design on all the 7 episodes. The Series should be released very soon. DVD bonus features include an Actors/Producer/Composer commentary track discussing the artistic decisions that were taken by the crew, the sound designer, and the composer during the creation of the film. Last Sunday was the last recording session at the historic (MGM) Sony Scoring Stage in Culver City.  Saturday, February 17, 2007 Today was the premier screening of NAILED as part of the 16th annual Pan African Film Festival. Next screening will be on Monday the 19th.  Assaf at the PAFF screening of NAILED Friday, February 16, 2007 The film GHOST RIDER (starring Nicolas Cage) is now in theaters. Assaf has been mixing the score composed by Christopher Young.
